Thou dawdl'd not bringing me fro Æther to Nether, Still, duringly cling I on to this heather - Dew-scentéd blossom; thou wast pristine, The sweven of thee ne'er will I cede, my colleen. Drat this creature of memories ill, Foolhardy and fey I may be, yet him I shall quell.
Belet'idu is an old demon -- so old that many can't put a finger on the time of his origin, nor remember a time that his presence wasn't felt in one way or another. Also known as the Shaman, he has developed a reputation of offering sage advice, if one is persistent enough to untangle his words. He is aloof and solitary, and tends to spend his days roaming from place to place, with the rare stay in his hut in the Tanglewood.
Friends are not something the demon has in abundance. He is more likely to have plenty of acquaintances than those who truly know and care for him. This suits him fine as it's just as hard for people to earn his genuine affection. It would be interesting to see him gain a few real friends during his time in play, though it will be a difficult task for any who try. Once his barriers are broken though, or his respect earned, he could prove to be a powerful and dedicated ally/friend.
Belet'idu doesn't go out of his way to make enemies, but it's something that happens anyways, really. Given how old he is, there are those that are jealous of his apparent power, or those who feel slighted by whatever advice or divination he has given them. This section is really wide open.
Lovers, like friends, are something of a rarity for the shaman. He tends to keep people at arm's length, and thus all the difficulties that come with friendship are doubled for romance. However, it's not impossible. Even ancient creatures get lonely sometimes. While he's not actively looking, it could be interesting character development for him to foster a close relationship of some sort. Belet'idu would be a loyal, likely overprotective lover, albeit likely in a roundabout way.
As far as wanted plots go, I would really like to have Belet'idu be summoned by someone. Bonus points if the human is a descendant of the original alchemist that bound him way back when during the Demonex's original creation. I think it could be really interesting, the dynamic that could play out between an ancient demon and someone mortal. Even more bonus points if it somehow ends up turning into a romance plot, but I don't want to force anything - let's allow things to develop organically. Gender doesn't matter, really, if someone wants to make a character for this I just want them to have fun.
'Vaunt! — Devil tyne — Wadst thou wane fore'ermae; Daunt — sinsyne thence, Ta'en as a dint, Angélique?

Perforce and grinningly shall I maim in the vie - Alas dastard! - hanging by the noose die.
